The rising star boasts considerable social media audience
The young golfer will have multiple prominent supporters when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, operates multiple international courses and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in only three events this year and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating her mother.
"He is the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He told me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
Kai will face several the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, featuring world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, specifically among youth audiences.
Kai boasts substantial online presence and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
