Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
