Barcelona Set to Play Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Stadium Testing
The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
