Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
